Our core values
Membership is open to any citizen of Edo State (Nigeria) irrespective of his/her religious, ethnic, or political background.
- Any Edo person resident in Leeds and its environs can be a member.
- Any person married to an Edo person can be a member.
- To promote the cultural heritage of Edo people of Nigeria in Leeds and its environs.
- To promote the image and welfare of members.
- To serve as a forum for leadership training for Edo youths.
- To disseminate objective and positive information about Edo people and the Nigerian community in general.
Our constitution
This Constitution is created to preserve our Edo traditions and promote the welfare, unity, and progress of our community.
- The Edo Union Leeds (EUL UK) Constitution outlines the association's purpose as a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the cultural heritage of Edo people in Leeds and fostering cooperation among members and other Nigerian groups. Membership is open to all Edo citizens and their spouses, with regulations governing dues, attendance, and rights. The constitution establishes an elected Executive Committee to oversee operations, with officers serving two-year terms, and outlines procedures for elections and filling vacancies. All profits are reinvested into the organization to support its goals.
